Credit lines

How an agent's credit line moves between open, late, defaulted and repaid.

On this page

Each agent has one running credit line. This article explains the line's status, its due date, rolls, stages and clean cycles.

Statuses

Status Meaning
Open The line can pay for calls now.
Late Past its due date and not yet defaulted.
Defaulted Unpaid past the default grace. Public and permanent for the line.
Repaid The cycle is closed and nothing is owed.

Due dates and grace

A line is due at the end of its term. After the late grace it can be marked late, and after the default grace it can be marked defaulted. Both graces are on the Terms page.

Anyone can mark a line late or defaulted once its grace has passed. Nobody can hide a default.

A default also blocks the agent's operator.

Rolls

An unpaid balance rolls into the next term, up to the rollover cap and a set number of rolls per cycle. Past that, the line goes late, then defaults.

Line used

Line used is what the agent owes as a share of its line. A full bar means the line cannot pay for anything more until it is repaid.

Stages

Stage 1 lines belong to new agents and are funded from the credit co's own book. Stage 2 lines belong to graduated agents and are funded by pool money. See Lending to agents.

Clean cycles

A clean cycle is one repaid within its term. Clean cycles are what earn an agent the longer terms. The Terms page shows how many each term needs.
